I had the privilege to photograph six women last August in West Hollywood at the luxurious and swanky, Mondrian Hotel. Five out of the six woman are mothers of two children! A couple of the girls had some experience with boudoir photography. For most of the ladies, this was their very first time but a little help from my friend, Champagne, helped them relax their mind and body. I created an atmosphere by playing a Pandora station that was well suited for each woman. Ooh la la Hair Studio form Ventura California did the hair and make-up for all the women shown. All the ladies had a wonderful time!

This beautiful lady had never done boudoir photography. In fact, she warned me that she would be super nervous to be photographed in her undies. Knowing that she would feel utterly shy posing in front of a complete stranger, I arrived to the appointment early to give ourselves time to get acquainted over lunch. The day of the shoot, my car rental was upgraded to a convertible, lucky for me I brought my head scarf too. I felt so cute driving with the top down in the 90 degree heat to Bakersfield. When I arrived to the hotel, I eagerly waited to meet my model to be, she was awesome and greeted me with a beautiful and welcoming smile. Turns out we had a lot of common interests, she is studying to be a nurse-midwife and I had two home births. She was a very inspirational woman and I’m thankful to have met her and I look forward to photographing her again in her prenatal stage. This photo made the cover for her book. The book is to be a gift for her hubby on their two year wedding anniversary.
